- 2.7oz of L’OR Profondo Lungo Espresso
- 1 3/4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips, chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Directions
- Brew 1 L’OR Profundo Lungo Espresso in the L’OR BARISTA System on the medium setting (2.7oz).
- In a saucepan, heat the whole milk, espresso, and heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Avoid boiling.
- Add the granulated sugar and stir until it dissolves completely.
- Reduce the heat to low, and gradually whisk in the chopped dark chocolate and unsweetened cocoa powder until both are fully melted, and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Continue to heat the hot chocolate on low, stirring occasionally, for an additional 5-7 minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Enjoy!
